Hearing sparrow sing "ho~day! Ho~day! Oh oh oh" gave me shivers of memories
Watered down wishy washy pop garbage. The writing was mind numbing, like they got the lyrics from a 3yr old. They said a whole bunch of nothing over a very uninspiring beat and boring hook. Calypso used to tell intricate stories and paint pictures. If this is the new generation, calypso looks like a soulless shell of its former self.
Even celebratory songs like ones from david rudder had more depth in one verse than this song has in its entirety. I thought the genre would have been saved but it's clearly on its death bed if this is the new direction. What sucks the most is that it's so bad, it feels like they just stuck the legendary sparrow in there in an attempt to give it a fighting chance, but it wasn't enough.
